"Le Vieux" from the Cirque Du Soleil show, "O". Eugen is the guardian of the theater. He is also our guide. Stong, but vulnerable, this aging theater manager knows all and provokes us to see the darkside of O. His ghostly orchestrations take us on a timeless journey through different worlds as he makes his own transformation from dark to white. Everything old becomes new once more.
“The Masked Thief” from Cirque Du Soleil’s “O” A masked character is he; with many faces. A clown, a body guard... one never knows. He plays with fire.

"Le Titan" from Cirque Du Soleil's La Nouba. A mysterious "muscle man" who confronts everyone on stage while contorting his body in unusual poses. He's a solitary figure, unfriendly and threatening. He marches assertively through the world of La Nouba, like a nightmare waiting to take over a sweet dream. Beware the giant.

"The Firebird" from Mystère by Cirque du Soleil with a few additions I've added. A red jewel sailing through the sky on a stream of song. His brilliant appearance and acrobatic skills snap up the energy of the show like sparks that fly in the wind. He represents the cycle of life, death, and rebirth from the ashes.
"The Lizards" from Mystère by Cirque du Soleil. Mischievous and skittish, these chamelions can completely disappear before your eyes! But when they skitter about in their reptilian dance, these lizards show off their shiny green skin with flashes of scarlet.

My drawing of "La Belle" from Mystère by Cirque du Soleil. Through her fear of ugliness she seeks to avoid pain at all costs. La Belle celebrates the present because her beauty- like life- is ephemeral. She is the mystery of beauty, ever fleeting.
My drawing of "The Black Widow" from Mystère by Cirque du Soleil. The Black Widow is a praying mantis who destroys the illusions and dreams of her victims. She is the antithesis of Belle's beauty and grace.
Another project from watercolor class. These are the ”double faces” from Mystère by Cirque du Soleil. Each one is a segment of the whole and would die if alone. Their double face hides the corruption of their state. They slither, climb and jump and show us magnificant things.

The Birds of Prey: These birds of prey have forgotten how to fly. The ever-present and unpredictable Birds of Prey fly rapidly through the world of Mystère. They can be graceful and serene, but when hungry they will attack, devouring their prey with delight.
"Thunderbird"
"Inti X and Inti Y" Another set of characters from Mystere by Cirque Du Soleil. They both are the seeds of life, moving about frantically to fulfill their destinies. With their energy, these bouncing characters are like viruses, contaminating the world of Mystère with infectious folly. The comic chorus, always present, always jolly, laughs in the face of the pain of humanity. Perhaps they possess the true wisdom?
“The Trickster” from Cirque Du Soleil’s “Kooza.” He is our charming yet sophisticated guide through this world in which he created. He is quick, agile and smart, but ever watchful as he keeps his eye on The Innocent, a person for whom the world was created. He appears and disappears at will, playing tricks on The Innocent with his unmatched powers.
"The Songbird." The singer, she reflects all human emotion. She is the ever-present town crier who expresses the soul of Saltimbanco. Her language is universal and her song reflects the atmosphere around her. Her vocals are emotions — serenity and excitement, hope and joy, disappointment and melancholy.
The Green Bird has escaped her cage, and desperately wants to fly. But she can't; she is too awkward. She remains trapped in the urban world like a marionette with tangled strings.
"Le Pierrot Rouge." The Acrobatic Pierrot appears up on the mountain, on the wall at the End of the World, on the Rocks, and at the heart of the action. Agile and nimble, within a flash of folly you'll miss him as he turns, flips, twists and flies across your view. He is called the Red Pierrot, after a species of butterfly. Like his namesake, he flits about the stage, somehow cross-pollinating his fellow acrobats.
"The LIzard"
“The Aviator” from Cirque Du Soleil’s “Quidam.” The Aviator has skeletal wings, but doesn't look quite ready to take off. Perhaps he doesn't know he has wings. Perhaps he knows, but can't fly. Perhaps, like Icarus, he has tried and failed. Or perhaps he simply wants to escape this world and its problems.
